3D Printed Motor Mount for E-Flite Valiant

The E-Flite Valiant 1.3M aircraft is a very popular model, however, the stock motor that comes in it is not the greatest quality and prone to failure.  Because of the design of the prop adapter in this motor, it is difficult to put a better motor into this model and have the prop and spinner fit in the correct location.  To correct this problem we have designed this motor spacer kit that allows you to put one of our Cobra 2814/16 or BadAss 2814/980 motors into a Valiant, and have the prop adapter be in the proper location so the spinner fits the cowl with the correct gap.  The mount spacer goes inbetween the back of the motor and the stock aluminum firewall mount that comes in the Valiant, and motor is attached with the included screws.

Included with this kit is the 3D printed 16mm long motor spacer, along with a set of four M3 x 22mm socket head screws to mount the motor and spacer to the stock aluminum firewall mount.  Also included in the kit is an M3 x 16mm screw to attach the spinner cone to the front of the motor.

Special Note:  The PETG plastic used to make these mounts is dimensionally stable at temperatures up to 170 degrees F (77 degrees C), which will hold up well to normal use.  If you leave your model in a hot car in the middle of summer on a sunny day, the temperatures inside can exceed these values and can cause deformation of the mount.  Treat your aircraft with the same care you would with your kids or your dog, don’t leave them locked up inside a hot car!
